We’re excited to report that our client the Immunisation Advisory Centre (IMAC) is a finalist in the 2016 TVNZ New Zealand Marketing Awards. The entry is a national campaign to raise awareness of the benefits of flu vaccination among pregnant women. Trio Communications provides public relations support to the campaign while Insight NZ leads the advertising strategy.
Award winners will be announced on September 1.
Immunisation rates for pregnant women have risen significantly since the start of the campaign in 2014. Now around three in every five pregnant women are immunised against influenza. Influenza immunisation is important for pregnant women because they are nearly five times more likely to be admitted to hospital with influenza than women who are not pregnant.
